Solidworks 2016 Shows Off 200 New Enhancements at ATE Launch

A new interface, compatibility with Windows 10 and 200 listed enhancements – these are the new features that took the spotlight at the recent launch of Solidworks 2016 in Singapore..

Delegates gathered at ATE (Advanced Technology Enterprise) SolidWorks Innovation Day 2016 in Capital Tower, combining talks, networking sessions and an on-the-spot speed design competition.

Speakers from various companies such as Dassault Systemes SolidWorks, SMRT Pte Ltd and Ultra Clean Tech (UCT) explored the latest technology trends in the engineering field and shared insights related to the future of engineering and additive manufacturing.

ATE rounded up the talks with a live demonstration of the latest Solidworks software 2016, which included additional features to enhance user friendliness and customisation options.

The SolidWorks Design Competition saw winners walking away with prizes for their innovative ideas to enhance and improve the lives of citizens. Designs included a modified clothes hanger to dry clothes in HDB flats, also the winning entry of the competition.

The much awaited lucky draw prizes were also given out at the end of the day. Lucky winners walked away with cool gadgets such as the Apple iWatch and Powerbeats Wireless In-ear Headphones.

The event attracted over 300 attendees in total.
